Our Journey So Far

The concept of Emmaus Road was born out of a desire for something new and fresh. In the spring of 2007 leaders of the Church of the Nazarene began praying for God’s direction for their struggling church. As they prayed it became clear that God was calling them to do something brand new; a new beginning. These leaders set out to seek God’s direction for the future. God began to provide clarity of what that future would be. A mission statement was formed, a ministry plan, and eventually a new name that clearly marked what God was calling this new church to become.

Emmaus Road’s first service was January 6th, 2008. It has been exciting to see how God has worked thus far in our journey, and although we are just starting our new journey, we are confident in God’s direction for the future!
